Our organization lifts up the ASU Band Program, public school bands in the area, develops solid leadership in its members, and helps prepare them for their professional lives. With your help we can reach even higher.

The Epsilon Kappa Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi is a well decorated chapter. Listed below are the awards we've recieved, as well as other special priviliges we've been given, on both the National and District levels of the fraternity.

National Awards

Service Certificate			Early Bird Award
This award is no longer issued, as it was the predecessor to the Early Bird Award. It was awarded to chapters who turned in national reports, chapter dues, and membership dues early for the year.			This award is today's version of the "Service Certificate". It is awarded each year to chapters who submit their paperwork and dues at least two weeks early in the Fall semester.

Chapter Academic Achievement Award

National Intercollegiate Band Participants

This award is no longer issued, as it was the predecessor to the Early Bird Award. It was awarded to chapters who turned in national reports, chapter dues, and membership dues early for the year.

The National Intercollegiate Band is a joint project of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma. The best college musicians from across the nation audition for this band, which performs at each bi-annual National Convention.

District Awards

District VI Spirit Drum	D.O. Wiley Award
Prior to the creation of the Southwest District, the District VI Spirit Drum was passed along from one chapter to the next. This earned it the nickname, "The Traveling Drum".	The D.O. Wiley Award is named after the "Father of Texas Bands", and is awarded to the most outstanding chapter of the Southwest District in a given year.

Chapter Percentage Award	Display Awards
Given to the chapter with the highest percentage of its Active Members in attendance at District Convention.	Given to chapters with the best displays at District Convention in any of three categories.

Steven C. Nelson History Award

This award, named after a past District Governer, is given to chapters who contribute to the District's history documents.
